LeeBoy, leaders in the commercial asphalt industry, hosted the “Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) Manufacturing Express” on August 29, 2024 at their Lincolnton, NC facility.

Elected officials and other members of the community came together for the event to recognize the contributions of LeeBoy and its employees. LeeBoy is an American success story, with BR Lee producing the first drag box out of his garage in 1964, and the first self-propelled commercial paver in 1970. In 2023, LeeBoy manufactured the first electric commercial asphalt paver and broom, focusing on efficiency, innovation and the ability to meet future demands of the industry.

The largest public engagement initiative in the 130-year history of AEM, the “Manufacturing Express” tour covers 20 states with 80 stops throughout the country. This tour highlights the innovative technologies, processes, people, and products revolutionizing the industry across America. The Manufacturing Challenge, an industry-themed online game, is available to play at each stop and online for a chance to win the grand prize, Ford F-150.
