State Representatives rise to expand hope, compassion, and support for construction families nationwide

Life has a curious way of guiding us through detours we never planned. Sometimes, the very obstacles that frustrate us become the catalysts for growth, clarity, and transformation. In the midst of struggle, we often discover answers to questions we hadn’t yet asked.
At the beginning of 2025, Construction Angels faced unforeseen challenges that shook the foundation of our fundraising efforts. Several pre-planned events we budgeted for were unexpectedly canceled due to circumstances beyond our control. These setbacks forced us to pause and reevaluate how we could continue supporting construction families in crisis, without depending solely on fundraisers. Having faced similar hardships during COVID, our team was no stranger to adversity. We quickly pivoted then, and we did the same again. We focused on attracting State and National Sponsorships.
Out of the blue, I received a phone call from Arkansas. That single call became the ‘turning point’ we didn’t know we needed. It was a blessing in disguise, a sign from above, and a powerful reminder that our mission was far from over. It reignited our passion and clarified our path forward to expand Construction Angels with State Representatives. Real ‘Boots on the Ground’ dedicated individuals to help us bring hope, compassion, and assistance to construction families in need across America. Let me introduce a few of our 2025 Construction Angels State Reps that are taking our charity to another level in their state!
Hannah Garison, Executive Support Manager at Riggs CAT, became the first-ever State Representative for Construction Angels in Arkansas after a powerful moment of discovery. While renewing her NAWIC membership in January, she came across a donation link for Construction Angels, just hours after a tragic accident claimed the life of an ARDOT worker on the interstate. Moved by the coincidence, Hannah explored the organization and reached out to see if anyone could assist the victim’s family. Construction Angels responded immediately, explaining to her that while Arkansas hadn’t hosted a fundraiser since 2020, we were still supporting families in Arkansas using national funds. Hannah was inspired to change that.
With 16+ years in the construction industry and a deep respect for frontline workers, Hannah embraced her new role. She’s since built strong local connections, secured sponsorships, and is planning Arkansas’s first statewide 5K fundraiser in 2026. “I feel like I’m just gaining traction,” she says. “I want to do bigger things—promote work zone safety, inspire youth to join the trades, and share the scholarship opportunities Construction Angels offers.” Thanks to Hannah’s leadership, the charity began its search for other State Representatives who ‘fit the mold’ of her passion to help others in our industry.
Austin Maddon, Sales Manager at SoCal JCB, became the second State Representative for Construction Angels in 2025, representing California. A longtime supporter of the charity, Austin has been involved for nearly a decade and is passionate about helping families affected by construction-related tragedies.
“When I joined SoCal JCB, I wanted to bring Construction Angels to Southern California on a greater scale,” he said. That vision came to life with the Inaugural SoCal JCB Golf Tournament in April 2025, raising funds to support local families.
Austin’s goal is to expand the charity’s reach statewide by engaging more companies and supporters, while growing the golf fundraiser year after year. In addition, JCB will co-host a National Golf Fundraiser with Core & Main on March 2, 2026, at Paiute Golf Course in Las Vegas, one day before CONEXPO, North America’s largest construction equipment tradeshow.
Ed Miller, Director of Marketing at Groff Tractor & Equipment, became the third State Representative for Construction Angels this year, proudly serving Construction Angels for Pennsylvania. The company became affiliated with the charity through the John Deere network, thanks to Augusto Salles of Dobbs Equipment. Their first golf outing of 2024 was a sold-out triumph, thanks to Ed and his incredible team at Groff Tractor. From start to finish, they made coordination look effortless, bringing not only precision but also heart to the event. The team’s compassion and energy were palpable, creating an unforgettable experience for everyone involved. Ed coordinates fundraisers across the state, helping support families affected by construction-related tragedies. “Being a State Representative for Construction Angels gives us a chance to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those who build our communities,” he said. “It reinforces our values of compassion and service.” His goal is to raise awareness, build a strong network of long-term supporters, and ensure Pennsylvania families receive the care and resources they need during difficult times.
Corinne Collina, Human Resources Manager at The Earle Companies, became the sixth State Representative for Construction Angels in 2025, representing New Jersey. With deep roots in the construction industry since age 19 and a family legacy in the field, Corinne felt an immediate connection to the charity’s mission. “This charity is deeply personal to me,” she shared. “It represents the heart and soul of our industry—caring for one another when tragedy strikes”. “My son works for Earle as a tack truck driver, often spending long nights on the road. He was part of a crew working the night an employee was tragically killed by a drunk driver while on the job. That loss made the Construction Angels’ mission hit home. It showed me just how vital this organization’s support is to families facing their darkest moments and how much more we can do to protect and stand by the hardworking men and women who build our communities,” she said.
Now, Corinne works to raise awareness, build partnerships, and promote safety across the state. “I see my role as a bridge between the construction community and the families who need us most,” she said. Her goal is to ensure every construction worker in New Jersey knows about Construction Angels—and every grieving family feels the strength of the industry standing behind them.
Forrest Lister, VP of Operations at PSS Industrial Group, became the seventh State Representative for Construction Angels in 2025, representing Texas. His journey with the charity began years ago at a local event in Utah, eventually leading his company to become a national sponsor. After relocating to Texas, Forrest was struck by the high number of construction-related fatalities in the state. “It’s exactly why Construction Angels exists—to support families facing unimaginable loss,” he said. Now, in his new role, Forrest is committed to raising funds that directly help Texas families. His long-term goal is to ensure every grieving family in the state receives the support they need.
At a time when the construction industry continues to grow, so does the need to support the families of those who make it possible. Construction Angels currently has seven dedicated State Representatives — and we’re just getting started.
We’re calling on passionate industry leaders to step forward and become champions of our mission: to provide immediate financial assistance and grief counseling to families of fallen construction workers. As a State Representative, you’ll be the driving force behind our presence in your state by leading fundraising efforts and serving as the local face of a cause that touches every corner of our industry. This is more than a title; it’s a chance to lead with purpose, honor those we’ve lost, and bring hope to families in their most difficult moments.
